随着黄石新港及新港物流园区的不断发展壮大，中储粮、中粮饲料、大冶劲酒等一批粮食加工企业陆续入驻黄石新港物流园区，为黄石及周边地区提供粮食供应，并能承接重庆、成都等地区多式联运的粮食运输此次通过验收的黄石进境粮食指定监管场地设置了粮食专用接卸泊位及粮食专用堆场，日接卸能力达600标箱，码头前沿接卸区、查验区、检疫处理区、实验室建设均按照粮食指定监管场地建设标准进行建设，可全面满足海关部门监管需求，建设标准在长江内河流域处于领先地位
