盐田港区是该轮在中国首航的最后一个挂靠港，随后将经马来西亚帕拉帕斯港驶往欧洲“地中海·古尔松”号在盐田港区靠泊期间，全程使用岸电，共装卸约4200标箱据悉，“地中海·古尔松”是地中海航运订购的11艘23000标箱级船舶中交付的第一艘，其他10艘同等级的超大型船舶也将会陆续投入使用
