8月27日，黄石市委书记郄英才一行到访盐田港，就深化合作、推动黄石新港转型升级相关事宜进行交流集团董事长孙波、总裁刘南安、副总裁乔宏伟出席座谈会
郄英才表示，黄石新港一直是黄石市委市政府重点关注的项目，近年来发展成效显著，希望双方进一步深化合作
一是加快完善港口硬件设施，在汛期结束后迅速恢复新港三期工程建设，并同步谋划启动四期工程二是推动黄石港转型升级，发挥黄石的区位和产业优势，加强与长江沿线其他港口的联运，建立完整的物流产业链，做好综保区的产业导入和后期运营，进一步完善黄石新港的总体布局
